I desperately need some help. My degree show is in two weeks and I have a set of 7 burnished earthnware forms which have been made from a two piece mould. Although they were left to dry for 3 weeks and then went into the kiln at a low temperature they have cracked all over. I have filled in the cracks with polyfiller and then put gold leaf over the top. This however has ended up looking worse than it did before as it looks very tacky. I want the focus to be on the form rather than the surface which is why the gold leaf looks so bad. Is there anything I can do to improve the forms or is it too late?
