Anyone have some tips for preventing or fixing pock marks in cement sculptures? I unmolded a couple of Buddha sculptures and they have a few areas that are like tiny craters, it makes their skin look they had acne as a teenager. On one the tip of a finger is missing. Any way to smooth out the surface with the holes or replace that little piece of finger?

I tried mixing a tiny amount of cement mixture and carefully applying it, but it looked rough and did not adhere well.

You could try some concrete-epoxy. It should stick better. Some types of concrete-epoxy may be solid enough to shape the tip of the finger. Others are more fluid to fill in holes. Here is an example product, I am sure there are many others:
