Looking for how certain statuary came to be.

Examples I know of:
Mirrored garden gazing balls kept evil spirits away.
Pink Flamingos in the lawn indicated that you also owned property in Florida.
Dutch kids kissing were dutch wedding gifts.
St. Francis statues increased gardening success and plant health.
St. Joseph statues shortened selling time in the home selling market.
Cement Pineapples meant you are welcome and hospitality.
Cement Lions are protectors. Each pope is buried with 2 lions outside their resting place.
Foo dogs protected the imperial tombs of Asia.
Gargoyles protect dwellers and ward off evil spirits and bad doer's.

What was the Donkey, man, and cart all about? I don't seem to understand that one. Those are big and expensive items in cement. How and why did people transport these monsters? What other garden items were popular and physically big?

Most items have a history. What story can you tell? [/code]
