I was at large casting facility today and noticed most of the sculptures had what appeared to be a white finish. I don't think they were cast in white concrete, but rather they were sprayed or painted to look like they had a white patina. It made the details standout better than just plain concrete. The one person in charge was just a check out person and didn't know about technique. Is there a particular finish that can be used or is it just white outdoor paint? It looked like a very thin coating (dusting) and not a thick application or color additive. Thanks.

it was probably a stain. you buy it in a quart, and dilute it to the consitancy of water. we use air guns to spray it on, and its like...matte looking.

its accually a great way to liven up natural statues, however it scuffs sorta easy.
