Hi... I recently acquired a traditional Resurrection of Christ statue that I originally thought was a Daprato piece. After I received the statue, I found a marking stamped on the side stating "Berardini Statuary Co., 28 Barclay Street, New York". I can't seem to find anything on the web telling me about this company. Has anyone ever heard of them? Are they still in existence or when did they cease to exist? The piece I have is almost identical to the traditional Daprato Resurrection Statues produced back in the 20's & 30's as I compared it side-by-side to one that I have in my collection. Any information or links you can provide are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

What are the dates of Bernardini, do you know? I am researching casting companies of the late 19th C and am curious to know. Da Prato, Caproni are others I'm familiar with

I'm not sure of the date, since it's not marke don my piece anywhere. I had received information from another gentleman indicating that Bernardini was around in the 30's through the 60's. If you find out additional information, please forward it to me.

Thanks!

I'll try to get digital photos of the three Berardini statues I have. Give me a little time on that one. I'll also check on the company and their dates as well. I understand that their molds were lost in a fire also!

Hello,
Was trying to find info on Barnardini myself. I have Statue of Jesus as a child. Was told it is 80 years old. My statue reads Bernardini Stauary Co,
28 barclay St. New York, NY.
Who would know? Are there any archives that can be accessed?owner info on record?

thanks

After searching Google for months last year, I was able to find a copy of an OLD Bernardini Statuary Company Catalog Dated 1908. It is 103 pages, provides a brief narrative of the company, and has about 90+ pages of statuary and stations of the cross. I've made a copy for myself, but am looking to sell the original copy to fund the purchase of an antique crucifix. Check out ebay now! You may never find a copy again! It's 100 years old!!!
