Good question.. it depends on the brand of polymer clay. Some formulations remain stable outdoors, and the products are improving in recent years with some creative chemistry. Check the manufacturer product sheet for outdoor tolerance. Generally polymer clay tends to get softer and fade in UV light. The UV exposure is what degrades the material over time.
