I have an angel plastercraft that I am painting and I have seen so many ideas
on painting the wings. I have seen purple wings, pink, and white pearl wings.
Do you have any ideas on what looks best on angels?

Rosella,

I personaly think angel wings look very good done in one of the mica
products.

The ones called INTERFERENCE type colors are very etherial <sp?>
looking. You can find interferece colors in severl different forms. A
powder form is avaliable, as is a tube type acryclic form. They are
not overly expensive and fairly easy to find. Hobby Lobby and Michaels
carries both the powder form and the tube acrylic.

Pearl Ex makes a powder form and Litquex makes a tube one. I also sell
the powder form called Powdered Pearls.

Also, one of the metallic micas look very nice, too. Gold, silver or
white are pretty and very shiney. I'm sure a white pearlized paint is
also avilable as well.

Rosella,

I've achieved some delightful effects with nail polish, especially the
iridescent or glittery colors. Some cosmetics companies package their polishes
in small bottles, which makes trying them very affordable.

I also like Sandy's ideas about mica products and interference paints.

Art supply stores sometimes have manufacturers' samples available for the
asking.
