Hi,

I have been asked to make a sculpture of a man on a bike ( Life Size ) The medium I normally work in is 13mm Wire Mesh. or chicken wire.
The construction of the the chap on the bike is no problem, the bike however I want to cheat with, I have recently purchased an old 1930's
push bike which I want to cover in plaster and then spay, as I don't work Plaster Of Paris, is there a plaster I can use that will be waterproof,
not crack on the metal frame of the bike, and be durable in all weather conditions
Please advise as I'm very wet behind the ears in this medium.

Kind Regards

I recommend any the following for covering the bike frame:

    Dental plaster
Dental plaster with white PVA glue mixed in (dissolve in warm water first before adding plaster)
    Hydrostone
Plaster of paris with an acrylic medium mixed in
