Real buck attacks ceramic deer

A ceramic deer in the Town of Holland was destroyed when a deer attacked it Sunday afternoon, according to Capt. Dave Adams of the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department.

The ceramic animal, which was in a yard at N2163 Frontage Road, was reported destroyed by resident Ruth Hesselink, 54, about 6:45 p.m., Adams said.

Hesselink reported a buck had attacked its ceramic counterpart, and the responding deputy reported there were "obvious track marks" to support her story, Adams said.

The ceramic deer's head was knocked off.
